The threat report made model misuse legible

Anthropic’s first threat-intelligence reporting on malicious uses of Claude made a useful institutional move: it described abuse as an operational problem with patterns, actors and mitigations, rather than as an abstract warning about bad prompts.
Threat reporting is not a complete census of misuse. It is a provider’s account of what it observed and how it responded. Its value is that it gives defenders a vocabulary for comparing incidents, tightening controls and asking what remains unseen.
As agents gain tools, the security record must follow the whole chain from model to account to external action.
