When an assistant connects to files, calendars or company systems, the connection is not a convenience feature alone. It is an authority boundary. The system needs to say what may be read, what may be changed and which context must remain separate.

The future of assistants will be shaped by connector design: one-time access, durable permissions, data segregation and visible revocation. A helpful agent should make its reach legible before it makes its answer fluent.
